(speaking at first regarding a breakup altarlight is going through)

• Member: Does the meditations help you get thru the hardest times?

• altarlight: Of course, I will just go on with other parts of my life, and continue to make the best ME I can.

• Member: You never know what the Universe has in store for us.

• altarlight: Putting myself into the meditation teaching is helpful. I find myself letting spirit flow more often, and it is cleansing and enlightening, but it will not resolve things I must take care of myself [in the dream]. It helps though.

• Member: A friend helps too.

• altarlight: yup :) glad you are here testing this silly room. lol So, what do you think of the room? [speaking of a custom chat room on homestead.com that is no longer available]

• Member: I think it's pretty cool. When are you going to have people come?

(after more room testing)

• Member: Yes. I think when we are in a lesson, it is painful so we don't forget it. Don't think me crazy but at times I pick up what another is feeling.

• altarlight: Empathy is not crazy.

• Member: It's "feeling"

• altarlight: I "am" sad...you have picked up correctly. There is no need for you to be sad. You are here assisting me in healing my pain and laughing with me.

• Member: Thats true. I don't know either of you. LOL Laughter is good for healing. So is tears, Doug

• altarlight: Yes, but tears make my sinuses kill me. I have sought high and low.

• Member: Either your sinuses or your heart. Your choice.

• altarlight: In spirit and through metaphysics. And the best thing I know of is a woman who loves and cares. [Doug as editor's remark: Oh really Doug LOL]

• Member: Do you think astrology has and effect on our lives here on Earth?

• altarlight: Well, it is a matter of the chicken and the egg. Do they affect us or do we affect them, or are we both affected by something beyond either. There seems to be a definite correlation...yes. We are the earth [or so it seems]. The earth we see is not the real earth, but is a false world. The heaven and earth we think we see shall all pass away, but my word...the real world, shall never pass away.

• Member: I am having such a hard time trying to get my mind to correlate that I am ALL things!.

• altarlight: Tell me about it. Yes, that is a difficult thing to assimilate with the common conditioning of the mind. We all go through growing up. Can you envision a God that is omnipresent?

• Member: I'm working hard at it.

• altarlight: You could see God tonight if you wish.

• Member: All I have to do is go outside and see the stars.

• altarlight: No...true but no.

• Member: No? HE IS "out there" As he is IN here.

• altarlight: Nothing "out there" is your connection to God, whether part of it all or not. Your mind parameters are set to certain landmark settings, which, among other things defines a framework for reference as within and without, neither of which are so. But is good for analogy. But IN HERE is not a metaphor; it is literal...a clue. There is no one, nothing within you, except YOU. Whatever HE that is in you, is YOU.

• Member: Now I'm confused.

• altarlight: Tell me about it. Confusion is a good space.

• Member: It must be. I'm there alot!! LOL

• altarlight: lol...thilly...like I tell em...Don't make being a putzhead wrong. It would spoil my whole life view.

• Member: This is why I thouhgt a chat would help. The mind resists all but what it already knows.

• altarlight: Actually, what it already knows is exactly what the mind resists. It denies knowing it and avoids looking in the right place for it. It is kind of like a cat that is very interested in what you are doing, but never looks directly at you like it is interested.

• Member: Take meditation, for instance

• altarlight: LOL ok listening.

• Member: Some people go into meditation and can hear the "still small voice," whereas I try to go into meditation and come up empty. I just can't seem to get to the Alpha state.

• altarlight: The alpha state is not a still small voice; it is science trying to explain what they do not understand.

• Member: I know that.

• altarlight: If you look within for a still small voice as evidence you are "in tune," you may always be disappointed. Although you may hear this...or not, the voice itself is not God in the ultimate sense. It is what the mind does when it senses spirit and it is very interpretive.

• Member: I don't necessarily wish that but I do wish that I was able to meditate better.

• altarlight: Colored glasses, etc. So for those who do hear it, it is not necessarily accurate and purely truth. Perhaps the following statement will help. It is absolutely true. {As a] matter of fact, it is scrolling above this room. Meditation is not something you can do. It is a living entity...THE living entity...YOU. All meditation is truly about is getting to know YOU...the reality of you. Since we are not accustomed to this, we go within looking for landmarks that tend to agree with preconceived notions about God...about self, about higher being, etc. All of these interfere. You are just you, nothing mysterious, just you...sweet lil you...the same you that was there when you were 4. Remember her?

• Member: No.

• altarlight: [She was] so unassuming and filled with wonder. Many of us cannot remember then. I have difficulty too. It gets blocked out...sometimes by trauma, sometimes by other things.

• Member: Yes. I dont WANT to remember her.

• altarlight: It is ok. There is a you beyond that when you were -24 months, before conception, before experiences here positive or negative...pure innocence. You may or may not want to know her, but she longs to know you and wants to lift you above this world to see the glory that you really are. This is all very cosmic sounding, but so true. The little child within...is...the Christ Child.

• Member: Unity churches believe the same thing.

• altarlight: I have no experience with Unity except with my parents in their cleaning business. We used to clean one. LOL This is not about belief. Belief is for the birds (my own included). Opinions don't mean squat. What is so is so, and anyone can find out and never need wonder again or ever ask and believe in someone else.

• Member: Then just WHAT the hell IS all this????????????

• altarlight: This is the result of our denial of what is so...looking away for just an instant to view something without remembering it is us, and is one and whole and not separate. It is making it an object idol, lust. It is not sexual per se, but is lust in general, which then is the basis for sex. Duality, multiplicity complexity, stress, etc. is seen rather than seeing the world as it is. One, simple, peace, nothing happening, nothing ever going to happen, no change. Therefore, there is nothing to fear. It is having power over all things. It is knowing there is only one thing, and it is peace...and it is you.

• Member: How can you say that and have such pain from a relationship?

• altarlight: It takes a quiet listening. Well...I have chosen pain as I have chosen pleasure. Both are unreal. I have chosen experience here. It is all unreal; however, in the course of experience, what is real has unveiled itself so that...even in this valley of the shadow of death (which is not so), in the midst of the pain, comes this inner confidence and knowing [intuiting] it is here within me, gently showing all that is, peacefully waiting upon me, caring not for my pain, but caring for me...for I am real. It is helping me as I am willing to get in touch with me instead of [getting in touch with] my chosen path of experience wherein lies pain.

• Member: What is?

• altarlight: What is...is me...the real me...spirit, God, YOU...all as one.

• Member: Oh Yeah.

• altarlight: You are here tonight as God assisting me, believe it or not. It is ok, you still are [as God assisting me] and you are wonderful, and filled with light, and peace, and love. That which you are, which I am, which we are as one...has settled down over us, allowing us to partake of oneness if we let it be so [or allow it to appear as it is in awareness]. And we are also free to refuse it. I have seen God within. I have talked to God within. I have heard God (edit: spirit influence of mind) speak back to me and tell me things so wonderful.

• Member: I try soooo hard!

• altarlight: But most of the time, it is as you said. It seems like no one is home. But "I" am home, and I can wait upon the Lord that I am...and eventually I will reveal myself to me. And as this awareness arises, it brings with it all the joy of heaven. Angels singing is nothing compared to seeing yourself as you are. It is not about whether or not you see anything or hear anything; it is about your being williing to be there and wait, no matter how long it takes. And for some, because of where their belief system is at, it takes awhile. How much time do you take for this purpose? [edit: whatever seems comfortable without burning out]

• Member: and how can one allow all this to happen? How does one start?

• altarlight: You are in meditation right now. That is where you start...here...now...awaiting you know not what, for if you knew...you would not wait for it, but would embrace it and know it. Since you have forgotten, your ONLY option is to wait for the belief system to realize you intend to wait forever if necessary and that you will not allow the belief system to deceive you any longer. The belief system is, in its entirety...a lie.

• Member: So. I am meditating and waiting now, at this present moment?

• altarlight: Yes. The perhaps missing ingredient is this willingness to be here and willingness to admit you are in meditation and waiting and willingness to remain so whether you are out and about or here in a chair, driving down the freeway, walking the dog, going through a breakup, stubbing your toe, or enjoying a shower. You are in meditation always, but to be more effective, it needs your consent and intention, bringing your ATTENTION to bear. [It] is not concentration. It is similar to focus, but almost the opposite. Unfocus or focus on all things...unnarrowed focus, an allowing state accepting whatever comes, rather than looking for a still small voice for it may be you will never hear that...or you might. But you are yet in meditation and that [hearing] is not necessary for you in order to rise above this world and see yourself as you are. Whether by vision, audial, insights...whatever...even others bringing you messages that ring true, even my girlfriend seeing my name in a dream and coming to find out who the heck I am. One never knows what channel will be open to them, but it will be so and all channels are available at one time or another.

• Member: There is sooooooooooooo much information coming my way, I don't know WHAT to believe!

• altarlight: Do not believe any of it. Just go within and wait. It will come eventually and then you will know [intuitively] rather than beleive and that is key. You will never need to ask a question of someone on this again, for you your self will absolutely know without question. [Speaking of intuitive influence from knowing into perceptions, not intellectually knowing the whole knowledge of God itself.] This is my guarantee and promise, but it takes your being there with full intent and allowing it to be so.

• Member: Go within. Go within. Great! Just how does one know where within is??

• altarlight: However long it takes, whether moments or years.

• Member: Let alone how to get there!

• altarlight: "Wherever you are"...THAT is within, for there is no within and without. It is merely an analogy for reference within finite language in order to talk about it. There is only one place...HERE. Call it anything. Call it within. But here...where you are, where you always were, where you will always be...wait, watch, listen. Build it and it will come...or he will come...or you will come. Words are unimportant. "The reality that is you"...that is important by any words. No matter when you see what you are you will know it.

• Member: Okay. I'll sleep on all this.

• altarlight: I would like to edit this chat and put it on the list. Many people could benefit by that, for many experience this same frustration. It is up to you. I will not do that unless it's alright...won't even save it.

• Member: No problem.

• altarlight: ok

• Member: And yes. I have been spoken to on this frustration.

• altarlight: Okay...will use...as is and edit out the unnecessary dialogue.
